Each "love at first sight" encounter thrilled me. Have you seen The Lover (1992)? It is quite an exquisite film. The cinematography is stunning and I found it left a deep impression on me when I saw it in high school. There is a scene in it (if memory serves) in which a man tells a story about a woman he was in love with. He saw her once on a ferry and never spoke to her. I've had that experience. I've had that experience. It was a warm high school day and I was in Malibu with Desire getting frozen yogurt at some place off PCH. We were walking back to her, laughing about whatever amused us at the time, when I saw him. I even remarked on him. He was clearly a male model who had just finished a beach shoot. I was so nieve and awkward -- so self-conscious. But our eyes locked in that chemistry that needs no pheromones, nothing at all beyond the way you hold someone's gaze for a few seconds too long. I wish I had scribbled my name and number on my napkin and walked over to him and handed it to him wordlessly. Oh, but walking all that distance through the parking lot with eyes burning holes through me was too much. So we left. And I learned the taste -- the unique flavor -- of regret.

my neighbour

I just had a fascinating encounter with my neighbor. He saw me getting out of the car (I just drove from my dad's house to my Mom's) with my knee brace on (yes, I am finally taking care of myself). He asked if I had an injury, and I said it was from Judo. I knew that he was into martial arts, but I didn't know to what level. He has a black belt in Judo, but his main focus is karate. He has won seven national championships and he even won the world championship when he went to Japan. What an unbelievable person! We talked all about how Judo is different for men and women (different body structures). We talked about how dance will improve my Judo and how Judo will improve my dance. Fascinating stuff. The look in his eyes on me was fascinating as well, looking me in the eyes then lower down to my breasts, I was wearing a low cut top so he was watching everybreath i took , then to my stomach then a huge smile came across his face i got wet and fast!!! my dream

Last night I had a second nightmare. I was going to the Academy Awards. First I had to coordinate meeting various people at various times on the streets of Manhattan. There were so many organizational details and I was very stressed out. Then I got to the large hotel where the ceremony was to take place. I did all sorts of nonsense running around. Finally I got into the elevator, I think to go to the ceremony or perhaps to my room. This smarmy unattractive man lans towards me and says, "Wanna fuck?" I loudly replied, "Stay the fuck away from me!" I was not willing to be harrassed by this idiot. Nearly everyone shoved their way out of the elevator at that point. The I was standing there waiting to arrive at my floor when he grabbed my breast. With fire in my eyes I corner him trying to knee him in the nuts, but he was able to hold me at a reasonable distance. Then he grabbed my neck. I tried clawing at him to get him off of me, but I was unsuccessful. There was a woman cowering in the other corner of the elevator and I kept beggin her to, "Please help me!" but she didn't move. I would halp anyone I saw being harrassed, physically or otherwise. Then the horrible man pinched my windpipe so I couldn't make a noise or breathe. He started berating me, saying things like, "Not yelling so loud now, are you bitch?" Then I woke up.

Dear Diary
